Secret Squadron Goranger: Finale!

Spoiler alert: they beat the bad guys

Hello, this is Fanboy, and we've finished Goranger.

I'd like to thank all of those who directly or indirectly helped this Herculean task to be finished with the quality the first ever Sentai deserves.

Citing everyone's name would certainly make me risk forgetting someone, which would be rude, so I asked everyone we could contact to write a couple words.

My heartfelt thank you to all of you!
- Fanboy

We finally come to the closing of this chapter! I'd like to give everyone who kept up with the releases a big hug!
- Yuuki Gai

It was a long journey, but here we finally ate! The very first Super Sentai show, fully subbed, available for everyone around the globe! I've got no words to describe how I feel after finally being able to finish the show. Goranger will always have a place in the hearts of all of us who worked in it! My sincerest thanks for all who suck with us so far. Without you guys, there wouldn't be any point in doing this project.
- Shourikan

To be honest, I'm not sure what exactly to say.

But if I were to say anything at all, it would be...

I've had a ton of fun doing some of the editing on Goranger and looking forward to future projects. I hope that everyone has a great time watching the show. Its age make show but it has its high points and if you give it a chance, the show may surprise you.
- Cel Shade

This was my first project as a translator for Rampage, and I hope you guys approved it. At first it was really hard to translate by ear, because sometimes characters speak fast and audio quality wasn't the best, but i loved the experience and learned a lot from doing it. I can even say I got better at listening (which ended up being my best grade in the JLPT). Anyways, it was a pleasure!
- Mio-sama

ClockUp here.

To finish this off, I cannot not mention everyone who has supported us from behindt the scenes. Took us four years, we had ups and downs, but we finally finished this project and closed another chapter in the Rampage Subs book. And that is all thanks to these people right here:

- Angel from Love&Care for helping us with some ass kicking editing back when we were short handed.

- Mariosmentor of Bad Apple Subs, for kicking Goranger off.
- And last, but not least, to FortMax from BunnyHat Raws, for making the raws we used for our releases.

Warm regards to all of you.
Cheers,
- ClockUp

And that's it, folks! The links are after the cut, as usual. We'll meet again soon, on our next Blue SWAT release! And look forward to the Goranger batch, coming up eventually!

  1. Thank you for subbing this series i've been waiting to see it for a long time so I could see how sentai began

    1. I keep saying this, but we will not do JAKQ. LovexCare are doing that

    2. But are they really . . .
At their current rate of release of two episodes every three years it will take them 40 years to finish. So, at what point is it no longer selfish for another subbing group to pick up the project so the wider community can finally watch it?

If you won't touch JAKQ may I suggest the only pristinely unsubbed Sentai Denshi Sentai Denziman?

      Delete
    3. Well, considering we're working on Blue SWAT right now, I don't see us jumping to other Super Sentai shows. If it happens, we'll let you all know.

    4. Denziman is far from being "pristinely unsubbed". At least three groups have worked in this series in the past. Currently, we have Berndadelta and QaD subs on it. They might be on some kind of hiatus, but we haven't heard anything about the show being dropped.

    5. The other members of Rampage trust that, in spite of whatever troubles we, LxC, had that have been stalling our progress will eventually be solved and the show will be subbed. This is not them being "unselfish", this is them trusting us to do our work.

Now, if that is not enough for you, or if you're unhappy with our pace, please feel free to try your own hand at subbing the show. I'd very much like to see your version of it :)

  5. Is it just me or was there really two lines that were blocked by the subs of another line?

    1. What part are you talking about and which one are you using, hardsub or softsub?

      Delete
    2. I`m using softsub and the parts of the sub`s blocking another is at 05:50 and at 18:15. Is the line at 02:54 supposed to read as "Do you intent do disregard my orders?"?

    3. I just watch the soft sub on VLC media player and the blocking didn`t happen, so I`m guessing that`s something that the "Movies & TV" app for windows 10 does for mkv files.

    4. Our softsubs are best watched using MPC. Also, make sure to have your codec pack up to date.

    5. Yeah, it's best not to use players that Windows defaults or anything of the sort. VLC and MPC are better. I use VLC as well.

  8. Thank you for this, we can all enjoy the first Super Sentai team in english for everyone.
I've followed the subbing of Go Ranger since the beginning, it's a great sight to see it finished.
Can't wait for your next project, be brave for it.

  9. please sub Jiban sometimes in the future, seriously that show is cursed i think. all the subber AWOL :)

    1. Jiban is a no go for us. Keep in mind we're a primarily Brazilian group, and we had every metal hero from Gavan to Solbrain airing in our open TV channels. It would be problematic if we released these. For now, we're sticking to the original plan of subbing Blue SWAT.

    1. Please, take a look at our "othee groups"section. You'll find the link to Megabeast Empire website. They have done a magnificent job subbing the only actual movie in this show. Everything else is just theatrical releases of regular episodes.

  11. First, many thanks. I’ve been watching this project start and die various sites over the last decade and more. When y’all were making headway, I began sacrificing goats and offering up incense in hopes that you would be able to finish. I guess it worked, because here we are. I will be going through these with my son, and I have one question. Is there a resource for your translation notes for the early episodes, and do these address the jokes that happen in some (all?) episodes?
Thank you SO much for your time and effort!

    1. Greetings.
Unfortunately, we don't have a compilation with all the translation notes. Since many of the early episodes contain phonetic puns that only makes sense in the Japanese language, we acknowledge the importance of having those notes readily available to everyone.
We're currently discussing the viability of releasing the notes alongside the new BD version. It might take a while though.
      Peace.

  12. Wait......MARIOSMENTOR??! As in, ME??! I....I'm shocked. I didn't think I'd get any kind of recognition for this feat, since you guys were the ones who did all the hard work. It should be me thanking you, not the other way around. Thank you for putting all that time and energy into Goranger, and finishing it when I couldn't.

    1. I didn`t know you were the user called "Mariosmentor".

P.S.: can "Nani" be translated as "Yes?" in English?

      Delete
    2. I actually don't speak Japanese very well (we hired a professional translator), but I know for certain that "Nani" doesn't mean "Yes," under any context.

  13. My God, it finally happened. Y'all are amazing. I remember watching Dead Fish's efforts years ago when I was in high school, wondering if I'd ever see this completed. Thank y'all do much.

And while we're slamming out requests hot on the heels of this momentous occasion like a bunch of greedy dogs, I'd love to see the entire Voynich manuscript translated.
