Secret Squadron Goranger: Episode 37

Aaaaand we have a v2 out already.

Here's episode 37, in which we have our heroes going after the Black Cross Fuhrer himself!

We also have a v2 for episode 33, as a little mixup on my side of things had us release a not-final version, which didn't include Daita's particular speech mannerisms. Nothing major changes, so if you don't care about that feel free to skip that part of the download.

Oops, we messed up and uploaded the same episode again. V2 will be coming shortly.

Not much to say, translation-wise, except that Edogawa is playing Shogi which, as most of you might know but I'm gonna explain anyway, is japanese chess.

Also, for today's riddle, we got another simple pun. "So what type of deer talks too much in a high place?" - "Deer" is "shika", in japanese, and "talk" is "hanashi" (putting it in a simple way). So, you put them together, and you get "hanashika", which is basically a stand-up comedian. Even if you've never gone to a stand-up comedy show, you probably know how much those guys talk, right?

About the episode delay - Very important, read please!

Alright, everyone's probably wanting to kill us already, since we have up to 44 translated to portuguese, but I swear I have a good explanation for this!

See, we've been working on these like this:

1 - Portuguese team translates, checks translation in portuguese, etc.

2 - Portuguese/English members translate that script to english.

3 - Japanese/English team edits english script for character voices, etc, while keeping it consistent to the original japanese, and making sure there's no engrish.

So, step 3 as you might deduce, is what has been taking up most of the time. Episodes 38 and 39 are already english, and we reversed steps 1 and 2 from 43 onwards, so I ask you all to bear with us for a bit. We'll soon enough be caught up with the portuguese releases.

  5. Much as I don't like to pester, it's been six weeks, and you're Portuguese team keeps churnin' 'em out while your English team gets further and further (12 episodes now) behind.
